Since 2019 elections, mommies or Indonesian soccer moms play a significat role in the Indonesian politics. They are militants too, and mostly supported by husbands. Indonesian soccer moms are the pillars at home, taking care of the house chores, kids, and the welfare of the family.
Yes they are -in their spare times—making money too to support the family, or making fuss in politics. They are considered a genuine voice to express their own political views. No one can interfere, event authorities.
Now in the forthcoming 2024 ‘the soccer moms’ –or supporters of ‘Anies for 2024 President—are tobe reckoned with. One of them is ‘Manies’ or ‘emak-emak pendukung Anies– In the near future, Manies will move to all parts of Indonesia, starting from Wes Java, to build a network of mothers who will make Anies Baswedan president.
JAKARTA | KBA – Support for the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to run as a presidential candidate (Capres) in the 2024 presidential election (Pilpres) continues to expand and is massive.
Today, Thursday, January 20, 2022, dozens of mothers who are members of Mak-Mak Anies (Manies) declared themselves to support Anies Baswedan as the next 2024 Presidential Candidate in Bogor City, West Java.
“Manies is ready to move to various regions to win Anies Baswedan as President in 2024-2029,” said Manies Presidium Ida Laomo to KBA News
Mak Ida, Ida Laomo’s nickname, said that in the near future, Manies will move to all parts of Indonesia, especially West Java, to build a network of mothers who won Anies Baswedan.
“In the near future we will establish a network of Manies in the regions, especially in West Java,” said Mak Ida.
Mak Ida said that the support of the mothers’ group for the number one person in DKI Jakarta was because Anies was considered a leader who had succeeded in fulfilling all of his campaign promises to Jakarta residents. In addition, Anies Baswedan is a trustworthy and honest leader.
“Successful in leading DKI Jakarta as governor, he fulfilled most of his campaign promises. The city is advanced, the citizens are happy, and it has been felt. He is a religious figure, trustworthy, authoritative, noble, and honest,” he said.
The leadership style of the former minister of education and culture should be extended to all parts of Indonesia, where he (Anies) in his leadership does not want to sacrifice or hurt other people, because trust and honesty are a stronghold for himself.
“He is in carrying out his duties as a Professional Governor firmly and is able to carry out the mandate he carries and is able to solve all the problems he faces smartly without sacrificing and hurting others,” he explained.
In addition, Anies is a young leader and has cross-country (international) influence, so he is considered worthy to be the number one person in this nation.
“He is a Young Intellectual Figure who is reckoned with in the academic world, both nationally and internationally,” he said.
For the ‘Mothers of Manies’, equality in politics makes them eager to support Anies Baswedan as President of Indonesia in 2024-2029.
The Soccer Moms’ Manies are now making fuss in a more militant ways, because they are disappointed with Prabowo Subianto who out of the blue left them in disarray only to join the coalition government of Jokowi, his competitor.
They are angry to be neglected by Prabowo Subianto, who without explanation left them, only to accept Jokowi’s offer for a ministerial portfolio. And, Prabowo action has caused the death of effective opposition force in the contemporary Indonesian politics.
