The DKI Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Leader Samsul Ma’arif predicts that Anies Baswedan would become the strongest candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
JAKARTA | KBA – Jakarta Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figure, Mr. Samsul Ma’arif revealed why he personally supports the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan as Indonesia’s future leader.
According to him, the number one person in the capital is an intelligent person and has good political communication.
“Yes, that’s our hope. But I’m not on behalf of NU. Because NU is not related to political support. But personally, Anies is a smart person. Intelligent. Have good political communication. It’s just the support,” he told KBA News, Saturday, January 15, 2022.
In addition, Syamsul Ma’arif also predicts that Anies will become the strongest figure in the 2024 presidential election later. “My prediction is to become a strong candidate for the 2024 presidential election,” said the man who is now the chairman of PWNU Jakarta.
As is known, on several occasions, Samsul Maarif did mention Anies Baswedan as the future leader of Indonesia.
One of them was when he met Anies at the City Hall Hall of DKI Jakarta to release the PWNU delegation’s departure to the NU Congress in Lampung Province a few weeks ago.
