JAKARTA | KBA – The Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno or Anies-Sandi duo are predicted to win the 2024 presidential election if they go head to head or face the Ganjar Pranowo-Ridwan Kamil or Ganjar-Kamil pair. The difference in the votes of the two pairs is over 6 percent.
Based on the analysis of the National Survey Report “Simulation of the 2024 Presidential Election Candidates” in January 2022 issued by Datasight, Anies-Sandi, who also ran for the 2017 DKI Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, won 43.10 percent of the vote if the presidential election was followed by two pairs of candidates and held in January 2022.
Meanwhile, the Ganjar-Kamil pair is predicted to gain 36.60 percent of the votes.
To note, the sampling technique in this survey uses a systematic random sampling method based on the 2019 DPT database that was interviewed by Datasight. The sample is also selected proportionally by adjusting the character of the BPJS data population.
Interviews were conducted on 6-9 January 2022 by telephone. The number of samples taken as many as 1,200 respondents spread across 34 provinces in Indonesia. The margin of error is ±3.0% at the 95% confidence level.
On the other hand, Datasight also simulated three pairs of presidential candidates (capres) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) in the 2024 presidential election.
The three pairs of candidates include Anies Baswedan-Khofifah Indar Parawansa, then the Prabowo Subianto-Puan Maharani pair and the Airlangga Hartarto-Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) candidate.
As a result, if the presidential election is attended by three pairs of candidates with only nationalist and religious backgrounds today, the candidate pair Anies Baswedan – Khofifah Indar Parawansa will become the presidential and vice presidential candidates with the highest electability.
The duet of the Governor of DKI Jakarta and the Governor of East Java has an electability rate of 34.90%. Followed by the pair Prabowo-Puan with an electability of 30.40% and Airlangga-AHY with a score of 9.90%. (kba)
